Expert Threading Tips!









Threading is a most common form of epilation when it comes to eye-brows – which cannot be avoided by the modern Indian woman. But, there are certain dos and don’ts that should be strictly implemented before, after or during each session of threading. And, what better than have an expert to tell-it-all. Yes, Permanent Makeup expert and Executive Director of ALPS Beauty Clinics, Ms. Gunjan Gaur shares just the right tricks to attain a celeb-like brow!
Wet Thread:
It may sound a bit weird, but one most effective measure for preventing threading soreness and implement fineness in the process, is to make the thread wet. Apart from giving a cool sensation through-out; it will also make the process painless and free from any redness around your brows.
Ice-Ice Baby:
Try rubbing ice-cold cotton ball dipped in astringent after the threading session. This will soothe the epilated area and relive you from underwent pain as well. Ice is a natural astringent and will close your pores in no time.
Moisture Massage:
Threading dries the skin; therefore to infuse-back the moisture, one may massage the around-eyebrow area with a hydrating water-based moisturizer for few minutes after the threading procedure. Massaging will improve the blood circulation while healing soreness of the skin. Avoid very oily ones as they can become a cause of acne.
Finger Care:
As this process involves one-by-one removal of hair, from the very roots, the skin pores should be immediately closed. A finger should do this task for you if you gently place it on the threaded area after every hair-pull – just for a second. This will comfort the skin, though for little time and prevent any sort of irritation from occurring.
Stretch Well:
Last but not the least, stretching is the key to attain perfect brows in a painless way. So, make sure to stretch the around-brow area properly during the session with opposite hand attaining perfectly shaped arcs. If you are not comfortable, ask any salon attendant to help you out with stretching.
